OKC Native Pens Book on Campaign Against Al Qaeda (Sep 30, 2011)
New York Times Pentagon correspondent and Oklahoma City native Thom Shanker returns to his hometown Oct. 2 to sign copies of his new book at the Full Circle Bookstore. Shanker and his co-author, Eric Shmitt, have written Counterstrike: The Untold Story of America’s Secret Campaign Against Al Qaeda. KGOU’s Kurt Gwartney talked with Shanker about his start in journalism and his current work in covering the Pentagon’s fight against terrorism.
