New Law to let 300 Inmates Out (Oct 10, 2011)

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Oklahoma is planning to release as many as 300 inmates to focus resources on locking up violent offenders who are more of a threat to communities.

The prisoners could be freed in less than a month. A new state law going into effect on November the first allows for some nonviolent offenders to be put on home monitoring early.
