World Views: Amanda Knox's Impact on Studying Abroad, Charles Kenny on Global Development (Oct 10, 2011)
On October 4, Amanda Knox arrived home in Seattle after a four year legal battle following the death of her roommate while studying abroad. World Views panelist Suzette Grillot joins us by Skype from Italy, where she’s currently serving as the faculty-in-residence at the University of Oklahoma's center in Arezzo. She spoke with students about their reaction to the overturning of Knox’s verdict and subsequent release from prison.

You can hear Suzette Grillot's full, 15-minute conversation with the OU students by clicking the second MP3 below.

Charles Kenny is a senior fellow at the Center for Global Development.  His latest book Getting Better argues that the developing world has seen widespread improvements in health, education, peace and liberty…due to the spread of inexpensive technologies like vaccines and bed nets.  The former World Bank economist says the world can be an even better place to live by understanding this transformation.
