MANGUM, Okla. (AP) - A prosecutor says the wife of a former Oklahoma prison warden convicted of helping an inmate escape has been sentenced to a year in prison.

Assistant District Attorney David Thomas says Greer County District Court Richard Darby adhered to the jury's recommendation that Bobbi Parker serve a year in prison. She could have been sentenced to up to 10 years in prison after being convicted of helping Randolph Dial escape from the Oklahoma State Reformatory in 1994.

Parker's husband was the prison's deputy warden when she and Dial went missing. They were found living together on a Texas ranch in 2005.

Prosecutors say the two fell in love and planned the escape. But Parker says Dial kidnapped her and kept her from seeking help by threatening to harm her family.
