Oklahoma Voices: Dr Willard Sakiestewa Gilbert (Nov 22, 2011)
This week on Oklahoma Voices we bring you the third speaker in a four part series, Dr. Willard Sakiestewa Gilbert (Hopi), from Northern Arizona University. Gilbert came as part of the Diversity in Geosciences Project  with the help of OU President David Boren’s Dream Course initiative.  Dr. Gilbert is a professor  of education at Northern Arizona University.  His topic is “Promoting Academic Achievement among Native Students: Integration of Western Science with Traditional Knowledge (Ways of Knowing).
