Federal Judge to Rule on Occupy OKC Lawsuit (Dec 02, 2011)

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - A federal judge in Oklahoma City is expected to rule on whether members of the Occupy OKC protest group can continue camping in a city park.

U.S. District Judge Timothy DeGiusti took up a request for a temporary restraining order against the city Friday afternoon.

Oklahoma City officials want to stop the protest group from spending nights at Kerr Park in downtown Oklahoma City and enforce a curfew from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m.

The protesters have been staying at the park since mid-October with several members spending the nights in tents they've erected.

Occupy OKC organizers maintain they have the right to peacefully assemble and maintain a continuous presence at the park
