Grady County Flood Maps Ready for Review (Dec 26, 2011)

The Federal Emergency Management Agency is encouraging residents of Grady County to review new Flood Insurance Rate Maps. The maps show the most current flood risks for homeowners, renters and business owners.

FEMA says it expects the maps to become effective on April 3rd of 20-12. FEMA administrator Tony Russell says he wants to make sure the “whole community” is involved in the process.

Specialists are available to answer questions about the new maps.

The new maps are also available for Wagoner, Greer and Jackson counties. You can find links to the information on the Flood Insurance Rate Maps in the Oklahoma News section of KGOU-dot-org.
