Bill to Stop Legislative Revolving Door (Jan 10, 2012)
OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Legislation being introduced in the Oklahoma House would ban state lawmakers from taking high-paid government jobs after they leave office. The measure is aimed at preventing a retiring lawmaker from taking a state government job that pays more than the legislative base salary of $38,000 per year. The limit would apply for two years.
