Arraignment Delayed for Judge on Conspiracy Charge (Jan 13, 2012)

McALESTER, Okla. (AP) - The arraignment for a former special judge, former prosecutor and a former drug court coordinator on a conspiracy charge has been delayed.

The hearing was scheduled for Friday morning in Pittsburg County District Court for former Judge William Layden Jr., former Assistant District Attorney James Michael Miller and former drug court coordinator Angela Marie Marcum.

Defense attorney Rob Nigh says the hearing was postponed until March 1 because a transcript from the preliminary hearing is not yet completed.

The three allegedly tried to obstruct an embezzlement investigation in allegations that money from county's drug court program was not deposited with the county clerk.

Each of the three has pleaded not guilty.
