Earthquake Agency Plans To Shut Down (Jan 26, 2012)
A Small Business Administration Disaster Loan Outreach Center set up for Oklahoma residents affected by last year's earthquakes will close its doors soon. Officials say the center at Prague City Hall will shut down at 6 p.m. Monday.

Gov. Mary Fallin sought assistance from the agency after the White House declined her request for individual assistance for those affected by the tremors. A 5.6-magnitude earthquake centered near Sparks shook much of Oklahoma and several surrounding states Nov. 5, causing damage to nearly 200 homes, a highway and a tower at St. Gregory's University.

That tremor was preceded and followed by temblors with magnitudes of 4.7. SBA District director Dorothy Overal says more than $1.4 million in low-interest loans has been approved for those affected by quakes.
