First Grand Jury Indictment Unsealed (Apr 03, 2012)

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - An Oklahoma multicounty grand jury indictment unsealed in Pittsburg County accuses the county's former drug court coordinator of knowingly concealing embezzled or stolen property.

District Judge Thomas Bartheld unsealed the indictment Tuesday. It accuses 54-year-old Angela Marie Marcum of concealing the drug court's business records concerning 13 participants.

Last year, Marcum was indicted on one count each of embezzlement of public money and embezzlement of public property and six counts of stealing or destroying public books and records. She is accused of embezzling more than $25,000 in payments by drug court participants from July 2009 to May 2010 and destroying receipts. She is also accused of embezzlement of the program's laptop computer.

Her attorney, Shannon McMurray of Tulsa, did not immediately return a telephone call seeking comment about the case.
