Oklahoma Voices: The State of Storm Prediction (Apr 23, 2012)

Research meteorologist Harold Brooks discusses the state of storm prediction on this episode of Oklahoma Voices. Brooks is an internationally recognized authority on severe storms and leads the Modeling, Observation and Analysis Team at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration National Severe Storms Lab in Norman. The goal of his work, according to a NOAA website, is to provide people with the knowledge they need to make better decisions about hazardous weather. In the interview, Brooks discusses the new language for weather warnings being used by a few forecast centers. You can listen to one of those warnings used in Kansas on April 14.
