Oklahoma Voices: Eliminating the Income Tax... Silver Bullet or Fool's Gold (May 14, 2012)

Budget negotiators at the state Capitol say they’re likely to reach an agreement this week, including the amount of an anticipated income tax cut. And while that reduction in the personal income tax is not expected to be as great as one called for by Gov. Mary Fallin and others, this session has seen the most serious discussions about an eventual total elimination of the tax,  which generates about a third of state revenue.
