OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Gov. Mary Fallin has announced nine appointees to serve on the new War Veterans Commission.

Fallin said Friday the nominees are Wes Benge; Dr. Curtis Bohlman; Tommy Howell; Robert Keister; Darrell McGee; Rich Putnam; Jerry G. Riley; Tom Sellers and Don Wadley.

The War Veterans Commission is the controlling board of the Oklahoma Department of Veterans Affairs. It administers veterans' programs in the state.

Bohlman; Howell; Keister; McGee; Putnam; Riley and Sellers are Vietnam War veterans. Benge and Wadley are U.S. Army veterans.

The Oklahoma Senate must confirm the men's nominations.
