Hearing Begins in Shawnee in Child Porn Case (May 21, 2012)

SHAWNEE, Okla. (AP) - Former students of a former third-grade teacher at McLoud say the woman routinely took photographs of them wearing only their underwear.

Students testified Monday during a preliminary hearing for Kimberly Ann Crain and retired college professor Gary Doby of Pennsylvania.

Crain and Doby have pleaded not guilty to child pornography-related charges that include manufacturing juvenile pornography, aggravated possession of juvenile pornography and lewd molestation.

Pottawatomie County prosecutors allege that Crain took pornographic photos of the girls in her classroom and her home and sent them to Doby.

Both face up to life in prison if convicted.

Crain resigned in November after the allegations came to light.

Prosecutors say the two met during the 1980s when Crain was a student and Doby was a professor at Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee.
