OCC Approves Natural Gas Rebate Program (Jun 19, 2012) OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - The Oklahoma Corporation Commission has approved a rebate program for Oklahomans who purchase natural gas vehicles or who install compressed natural gas fueling systems in their homes. The commission voted Monday to approve the program - which was developed by commission staff with the support of Oklahoma Natural Gas. The program provides for rebates of up to $2,500 for the purchase of a natural gas-fueled vehicle or for the installation of residential compressed natural gas fueling stations. A separate rebate of up to $1,500 is offered for so-called "dual fuel" vehicles that use both natural gas and gasoline. The program will be funded through a surcharge at the 25 compressed natural gas fueling facilities in Oklahoma owned by ONG. « back |
