House Delegation Votes For Healthcare Repeal (Jul 12, 2012)

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Members of Oklahoma's U.S. House delegation, including the lone Democrat, have voted for a resolution to repeal the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.

Rep. Dan Boren, D-Okla., and fellow Reps. Tom Cole, James Lankford, Frank Lucas and John Sullivan, all R-Okla., joined 239 others in passing HR 6079, which would repeal the law in its entirety. Boren was among five Democrats who voted for the resolution on Wednesday.

Some 185 House members voted against the measure.

The U.S. Supreme Court upheld the law's constitutionality in a 5-4 decision two weeks ago.

The resolution now goes to the Democrat-controlled U.S. Senate, where it is expected to fail.
