Sen. Inhofe Questions Military in Gay Pride March (Jul 25, 2012)
Republicans in Congress, including Oklahoma’s senior U.S. Senator, are questioning the Defense Department’s decision to allow active-duty troops to wear their service uniforms while marching in a gay pride parade. Sen. Jim Inhofe, R-Okla., yesterday released a letter to Defense Secretary Leon Panetta asking for a “detailed explanation” on why the DOD granted what the senator calls an exception to policies restricting service members from participating in a partisan political parade.
