TAHLEQUAH, Okla. (AP) - Cherokee County prosecutors have dismissed a misdemeanor assault and battery charge against an Oklahoma State defensive tackle.

Court documents indicated Wednesday that the case against Christian Littlehead was dismissed at the request of the state.

Littlehead was accused of punching a woman in the face after a dispute at a birthday party in March.

The Tulsa World reports that Littlehead didn't practice Friday because he was at the courthouse to get an arrest warrant dissolved and his court date set. He has practiced with the team since then and participated in Saturday's scrimmage.

The 6-foot-2, 312-pound Littlehead played in 12 games last season and started four times for the Cowboys.
