Former OCCC Bursar Pleads Guilty (Aug 16, 2012) OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - A former Oklahoma City Community College bursar accused of a scheme to embezzle nearly $400,000 from the school has pleaded guilty to wire fraud. Brandi Henson entered the plea Thursday as part of an agreement with federal prosecutors. Prosecutors say Henson admitted she improperly used the college's PayPal account to post refunds and credits to her personal credit cards. Authorities allege she paid off more than $398,000 in personal credit card bills with the refunds that she posted to her personal accounts. Henson worked for the school from 2003 through 2011 and had access to the college's PayPal account. PayPal allows users to maintain financial accounts for the purpose of transferring money over the Internet. « back |
