OESC Releases Employment Report (Aug 29, 2012)

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - The Oklahoma Employment Security Commission says LeFlore County had the highest unemployment rate last month in the state, at 10.1 percent.

The state says Sequoyah County has the second-highest rate at 9.2 percent, followed by Latimer County at 8.7 percent.

Oklahoma's statewide unemployment rate was 4.9 percent in July. That's the fourth-lowest rate in the country.

Officials say Dewey County had the lowest unemployment rate in July at 2.4 percent, followed by Ellis County at 2.5 percent and Beaver and Beckham counties at 2.6 percent.
