Fallin ''Not Worried'' About Romney Remarks (Sep 19, 2012)

OKLAHOMA CITY - Gov. Mary Fallin says she's not worried about comments Republican Presidential Nominee Mitt Romney made in a secretly-taped video of a private campaign fundraiser that surfaced earlier this week.

In the video, Romney told wealthy donors in Boca Raton, Florida that almost half of all Americans "believe they are victims" entitled to extensive government support.

Speaking to Fox Business News's Neil Cavuto last night, Fallin said all campaigns have good days and bad days, and says she doesn't think any damage to the former Massachusetts governor's campaign is irreversible.

"I do think that there are people in that base that he was talking about that will support him," Fallin said.

"There are people in America who are very concerned about economic freedom, and concerned about the role of government, what is the appropriate size of government itself, what is the appropriate role of government in our lives, in our businesses.  So I do think there is a bigger base out there than maybe what he is saying, and I think he just didn't say it right."

On Monday, Romney said his comments weren't "elegantly stated'' and they were spoken ``off the cuff.''
