Indian Times: OKC Indian Clinic has Thanksgiving spirit (Nov 16, 2012)

The Oklahoma City Indian Clinic is much more than just a place for Native Americans to see a doctor, at this time of year it means celebration, celebration of a holiday that is both uniquely American and American Indian.  With that in mind, the staff puts together a giveaway to those that need it most, native families that might not have everything they need. David Toahty (Pawnee/Kiowa/Creek) is the Chief Development Officer at the Clinic and has seen the need closeup.  We discuss the history of the clinic and its "giveaways"...turkey & all the fixin's at Thanksgiving...winter coat giveaway to kids in December along with a toy drive to make sure the kids have something under their trees.
