OKC Resident Shot and Killed (Dec 18, 2012) OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Oklahoma City police say an officer shot and killed a person while investigating reports of a domestic disturbance at a home on the city's northwest side. A police news release says Officer Anthony Franklin found the suspect in the disturbance armed with a pistol near the home shortly after 8:30 a.m. Tuesday. Police say the suspect began fighting with Franklin until the officer fired the fatal shot. The suspect's name was not released. Police say Franklin was treated and released at a local hospital for minor injuries suffered during the fight. Police say Franklin is a five-year veteran of the Oklahoma City Police Department and is on paid administrative leave pending an investigation into the shooting. « back |
