Winter Precipitation Returns to State (Dec 28, 2012)
The National Weather Service has issued a freezing rain advisory for seven counties in east-central through southeastern Oklahoma. The weather service office in Tulsa says light drizzle and freezing rain are possible this morning in Cherokee and Adair counties southward to Choctaw County. Forecasters say a thin coating of ice will be possible on roadways and especially on bridges and overpasses. The weather service office in Norman says freezing fog and light snow are possible from west-central through central Oklahoma, including the Oklahoma City metro, through the early afternoon hours.
