Halliburton Announces Duncan Layoffs (Jan 14, 2013) DUNCAN, Okla. (AP) - Halliburton Co. says it is laying off 130 workers at its plant in Duncan. The Houston-based energy services company told The Duncan Banner that the layoffs began Sunday and include manufacturing and support employees. Halliburton spokeswoman Tara Mullee-Agard told the newspaper that the company must ``adjust'' its manufacturing levels to meet what is expected to be needed this year. She said that includes the layoff of the 130 workers. The Duncan plant has about 2,600 employees. « back |
