Winter Storm Warning in Place for Northern Okla. (Feb 21, 2013)

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - More snow is predicted in parts of northern Oklahoma as a winter storm continues to make its way throughout the state.

The National Weather Service says 2 to 4 inches of snow is predicted in northwestern and northern counties. A winter storm warning is in effect until 6 p.m. Thursday for those areas.

In northeastern Oklahoma, freezing rain and thunderstorms are expected Thursday morning, and forecasters say up to a quarter-inch of ice is possible.

Forecasters say areas further south could see thunderstorms and hail on Thursday.

The Oklahoma Department of Transportation says roads are slick in western and northern Oklahoma. In eastern Oklahoma, including the Tulsa area, roads are mostly wet with temperatures hovering near the freezing mark.
