This week Oklahoma Gazette Arts & Entertainment Editor, Joe Wertz, tells about an event that gives new meaning to the term “blank canvas”. The Canvas Art Show features the inspired creations of more than 100 area artists who’s medium was the classic Vans slip-on sneaker. The show, which serves (in part) as a benefit for Arts Council of Oklahoma City’s After School Arts Program, starts at 7 p.m. this Friday in the warehouse above Bicycle Alley at 1015 N. Broadway (OKC).
