This week, the Oklahoma Gazette's Joe Wertz highlights two local arts events…

The “Corporatocracy” exhibit at the Individual Artists of Oklahoma Gallery in Oklahoma City features art from three local artists who each, through their individual works, attempt to reflect the influence large corporations have had on culture. From advertisements and labels to shopping and eating — A lot can be learned from what a society consumes, and the “Corporatocracy” artists use these familiar images in artworks that’s often awkwardly revealing.

Also worth ‘consuming’ is Sherree Chamberlain’s new self-titled album. This Stillwater-based chanteuse will take the stage tomorrow night at Norman’s Opolis.
