The Bowery Reunion Show (Aug 19, 2009)
25 years ago, a gritty underground bar played host to early gigs by The Flaming Lips, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, R.E.M., the Bangles, and The Replacements. That venue shut down years ago, but this weekend former staff members, DJs, and musicians who played The Bowery will converge on VZDs in Oklahoma City for a reunion show celebrating the legacy of a club known for its fiercely loyal fanbase of artistic misfits and local outcasts.
