![]() ![]() "Rainbow Around the Sun" is a conceptual tale illustrated by music. Created by area singer/actor, Matthew Alvin Brown, "Rainbow Around The Sun" began as a solo recording project in 2006 and has since grown into a film project. The wacky tale, centered on the colorful Zachary Blasto, a booze-fueled musician struggling with a broken heart and a fair amount of self-pity, may be on the path to becoming a Broadway stage show. A trial run at the New York Musical Theatre Festival could decide the fate of the stage adaptation. Thus, its creators are holding a live 'read' before an audience at the Lyric Plaza Theatre at 7:30 p.m. this Saturday in an effort to make sure 'Rainbow...' is ready for the big stage. The Oklahoma Gazette's Joe Wertz tells us more. ![]() « back ![]() |
