Gettin' 'Emo' with Joe and the Get Up Kids (Oct 01, 2009)
This week, the Oklahoma Gazette's Joe Wertz re-connects with his more youthfull days by way of a band known as the 'Get Up Kids'.

The 'Get up Kids' came into prominence in the late 1990's (and early 2000's) and represent what can be considered a prototypical 'Emo' band. After some time apart, the band has regrouped in commemoration of the 10th annivesary of "Something to Write Home About", the group's 'breakthrough' release.

Joe tells us more about the group and tonight's 7:30pm performance at the Diamond Ballroom.
