The Old 97's (Feb 25, 2010)
The Old 97's emerged from the DFW music scene in the late 1990's to become a leading exponent of the contemporary "alt-country" movement. Led by singer Rhett Miller, the group has since continued to grow their cult status thanks to their prolific recording, touring, and even some "big-screen" attention in the Jennifer Aniston/Vince Vaughn hit film The Break Up. The Old 97's will perform in Bricktown, OKC at The Wormy Dog Saloon this Friday. The Oklahoma Gazette's Joe Wertz gives the scoop.
