Indian Times: Comanche Nation Opposes US Army Construction on Sacred Tribal Sites (Sep 29, 2008)
This week on Indian Times, Kurt Gwartney reports on the Comanche Nation continuing in its efforts to stop the US Army from building on sacred tribal sites.

Host Susan Shannon speaks with Kricket Rhoades Connywerdy (Kiowa/Caddo), a member of the First American Performing Artists. The group of performing native dancers, storytellers, singers and vendors is suing German promoters Willie Bievers and Werner Mullender after not paid for its work in Germany in the summer of 2007.

In honor of the Oklahoma National Guardsmen that were killed last week, we speak with a Native American soldier in the Oklahoma National Guard who was home on leave last June. We?ll hear how Corporal Warren Queton (Kiowa/Seminole/Cherokee) copes with life ?over there.?
