Indian Times: Crystal Darkness documentary on meth use in Oklahoma is native concern too (Jan 12, 2009)
This week on Indian Times, methamphetamine is the number two drug of choice for Oklahoma, this according to recent surveys. And that?s just the tip of the iceberg. Crystal Darkness is a documentary that will air Tuesday at 6:30pm on all Oklahoma television stations about this growing problem. Wes Lane, president of the Burbridge Foundation and Gena Timberman, who is the Native American liaison for the Crystal Darkness program, talk about the special television event. Coming up next Friday at 7pm, a demonstration called ?Live Paint? will take place in Norman at the Standing Buffalo Art Gallery. Four artists are given a blank canvas and two hours to create a piece of artwork. Its a chance to see, and be a part of, how an artists works. Gallery owner Tom Farris and Choctaw artist D.G.
