Indian Times: Deadline coming up for native artists to participate in Red Earth (Jan 20, 2009)
This week on Indian Times, Eric Oesch, Director of Communications for Red Earth Inc, talks about the upcoming juried art show portion of the Red Earth Cultural Festival.

The Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribal College is planning to offer its first degree in tribal administration. The Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education recently approved the degree program. The Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribal College is located on the campus of Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford.

The Smithsonian?s National Museum of the American Indian in Washington D.C. is looking for interns. Internships are offered for summer, spring, fall and winter for Native American students. Interns are placed in a variety of departments at the George Gustave Heye Center in New York City, the Mall Museum in D.C. and the Cultural Resources Center in Suitland, Maryland. A Homecoming Powwow for Corporal Warren Queton is scheduled for January 31st at the Cleveland Country Fairgrounds located at 615 E. Robinson Street in Norman. Everyone is welcome to come and celebrate the return of our native soldiers. The powwow begins at 1pm and will continue till 11pm.
