Indian Times: Ancient Mound Site returns to tribal control (Aug 17, 2009)
This week on Indian Times, KGOU?s News Director Kurt Gwartney reports on the Osage Nation buying back one of its ancient mound sites called ?Sugar Loaf,? located in St. Louis, Missouri.
The last of the plains war chiefs, Dr. Joe Medicine Crow ?High Bird,? (pictured above with Pres. Obama) from the Crow Tribe, receives the Presidential Medal of Freedom. Dr. Joe Medicine Crow is 95 years old.
