Norman Citizens Academy (May 19, 2005)
Every Thursday evening for the last six weeks, citizens of Norman have met with various city officials to learn about local government and the behind-the-scenes workings of their community. Each session has highlighted a different city facility and department such as Parks and Recreation, the city council and the wastewater treatment plant. KGOU paid a visit to a recent meeting of the Norman Citizens Academy and spoke with Scott Martin, Assistant to the City Manager. Guests also include former City of Norman employee Lahoma Nelson and Norman resident Bill Prescott (4:00).
