Oklahoma Lawmakers Weigh in on Cherokee Freedmen Dispute (Apr 02, 2007)
Oklahoma lawmakers are finding themselves caught in a battle between African Americans and Native Americans. The dispute has followed the Cherokees’ decision to kick out descendents of former slaves who have been tribal members for more than a century. Terry Gildea reports from Capitol Hill.
