NORMAN, Okla. (AP) — Officials say four people were burned in an apartment fire Christmas morning at Norman.

Oklahoma City television station KWTV reports that the fire started around 10:45 a.m. at an apartment complex on the southeast side of the city.

Authorities say a man and two children were inside the apartment and suffered burns. Fire crews rushed them to Norman Regional Hospital. The man, who is in his mid-20s, had second-degree burns to his head and back while the youngsters, ages seven and two, had minor burns.

Deputy Fire Chief Jim Bailey said one firefighter was also injured while battling the blaze, suffering second-degree steam burns to his face and neck. He was also taken to the hospital, where he is expected to fully recover from his injuries.
