OKLAHOMA CITY - The Islamic Council of Oklahoma is criticizing what it calls a hate-filled advertisement in yesterday’s Oklahoman newspaper.

The full-page “Let the Bible Speak” advertisement appeared on page 5A of the December 29th edition, and was paid for by the Church of Christ in Elk City. ICO Board Member Saad Mohammed says while his group respects the freedom of speech and Constitutional rights of the newspaper, such ads only promote racism and bigotry within our communities.”

He says the advertisement unfairly targets a minority group through what he calls the spread of misinformation.
