Oklahoma Celebrates MLK Day (Jan 17, 2011) OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Events to mark Martin Luther King Day in Oklahoma included a bell-ringing ceremony with Gov. Mary Fallin and parades. Monday is the official celebration of the birth of the late civil rights leader. A bell-ringing ceremony with the governor began at 11 a.m. at the Oklahoma History Center in Oklahoma City.
