Oklahomans Demonstrate in Support of Changes in Egypt (Feb 14, 2011)

BIXBY, Okla. (AP) - A group of about 85 demonstrators have used signs and chants to show their pleasure with developments in Egypt.

The Tulsa World reported that the demonstrators, many of them clothed in Middle Eastern garb, gathered Sunday at a busy intersection in the Tulsa suburb of Bixby carrying signs that read "Democracy for Egypt" and "Honk Your Horns."

As they waved the signs, many chanted "Freedom come on, Mubarak is gone."

Hosni Mubarak, for 30 years president of Egypt, resigned Friday amid political pressure from the military and from thousands of protesters who had taken to the streets in Egypt for weeks.
