World Views: Asra Nomani on The Pearl Project (Feb 21, 2011)
In 2007, former Wall Street Journal reporter Asra Nomani co-founded The Pearl Project with Georgetown University journalism director Barbara Feinman Tood. The two led a group of students investigating who really killed Daniel Pearl, the South Asia Bureau Chief for the Wall Street Journal who was kidnapped and killed by a group of militants near Karachi, Pakistan in 2002.  Nomani joins the program with Project Coordinator Erin Delmore, and U.S. News and World Report journalist Jessica Rettig. Both participated in the project when they were students at Georgetown. The Pearl Project released its final report in January 2011.
