Seminole County Man Arrested for IED (Aug 12, 2011) OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — A 40-year-old Seminole County man has been arrested for allegedly attaching an improvised explosive device to a natural gas pipeline. The FBI says Daniel Wells Herriman of Konowa was arrested for attempting to destroy property used in interstate or foreign commerce. A complaint filed in U.S. District Court in Oklahoma City says an IED was found attached to a gas pipeline at the Enerfin Resources site near Okemah on Wednesday. A bomb squad removed and disarmed the device. On Wednesday night, the FBI says the Seminole County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call in which Herriman allegedly said he had placed the IED on the pipeline. A search of Herriman's residence found items consistent with the components of the IED found on the gas pipeline. « back |
