State Water Plan Open for Public Comment (Aug 30, 2011)

The final draft of the state’s Comprehensive Water Plan is now posted and ready for public comment.

The Oklahoma Water Resources Board is accepting the public’s input on the long-awaited plan at its website. Residents can also call or send a letter.

The board’s website says public comments need to be made by Sept. 8 to give the board members time to review the comments before a Sept. 13 meeting.

There will also be limited time for comments at that meeting.

E-Capitol reports the draft is also a likely topic of discussion by lawmakers during tomorrow’s Joint Legislative Water Committee meeting at the state Capitol.
