Indian Times: Cheyenne & Arapaho Tribal Governor Disagrees with BIA (Nov 26, 2011)

This week on Indian Times, the beleaguered Cheyenne & Arapaho Governor Janice Prairie Chief –Boswell disagrees with the Bureau of Indian Affairs.
Announcements:
The Bill Gates Millennium Scholarship program is giving away 1000 scholarships for the 2012 school year to low-income minority students.  These scholarships are good-through-graduation scholarships to be used in any area of interest and can be used at the college or university of their choice. To apply go online to www.gmsp.org  Deadline for submitting an application is Wednesday, Jan 11, 2012.
Here is what’s going on at the Jacobson House in Norman: Tuesdays are a taste of Native America days.  You can select from Indian tacos, corn soup, grape dumplings and frybread.  Wednesdays are the powwow singing class held from 7-9pm. Thursday is Kiowa language class from 6-8pm.  The Jacobson House now sells Pendleton blankets and will be having its Holiday Art Market Dec 9 thru the 11th.  Vendors get free booth space but you must register, for more information on all of this call 366-1667.
