Three Escaped Inmates Found in MWC (Sep 10, 2012) BOWLING GREEN, Mo. (AP) _ Three of the five inmates who escaped from a
northeast Missouri jail are back in custody after being captured while
panhandling near a convenience store in Oklahoma.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch (http://bit.ly/PbjrhN ) reports that all three of
the captured escapees from the Pike County Jail in Bowling Green are from
Louisiana, Mo.: Emanuel Chatman and brothers Jacob and Jason Darnell.
The men were arrested about 2 a.m. Monday near Midwest City, Okla.
All five escaped Saturday after removing a shower head controller, gaining
access to a service area at the jail. Joseph Verive of Elsberry and William John
Thomas Wilkerson Jr. of Florissant remain at large. Verive was jailed on a
charge of domestic assault. Wilkerson was held for failing to appear in court
for allegedly stealing anhydrous ammonia.
