Indian Times: Depp and Clooney in Oklahoma's Indian Country (Oct 05, 2012)

This week on Indian Times, we hear about the film stars who have been invading Oklahoma’s Indian Country, Johnny Depp (photo courtesy of Chaylene Toehay of the Osage News) in Lawton to be Grand Marshall for the Comanche Nation Fair parade and George Clooney in Pawhuska.  He's the producer for the film version of "August: Osage Country".  We hear from Lagueria Davis, OU grad and production secretary for the film. 
The Chickasaw Nation crowns their "royalty" and the Society to Preserve Indigenous Rights & Treaties (SPIRIT) have a meeting scheduled with the Governor's Office for next Thursday, Oct. 11th, to discuss racial profiling in Oklahoma.   A rally is scheduled for that day to be held from 9am to 11am at the Capital on the South Plaza.
