OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - The Boys & Girls Club of Oklahoma County says it's received reports of youths attempting to scam residents in a door-to-door fund-raising scheme.

Spokeswoman Linda Mares says male and female youths have gone door-to-door in Edmond, Oklahoma City and Tulsa - telling residents they're raising money as part of a Boys & Girls Club fund-raiser. Mares says the Club is not involved and does not solicit door-to-door.

She says the youths have been seen in a white van and the scam apparently includes selling magazine subscriptions and fund-raising for college or a culinary school.

Mares says there have been no reports of people giving money.
